I can attest to the convertible Natori. I actually found mine at TJ Maxx for $15. It works under most all my summer wear and is cooler than most bras because of the mesh. It's cups are a little further apart from the center gore than I'd like but that's more my personal fit issue, I think.

I have the same Le Mystere strapless bra that Alicat mentioned. It does stay up well, but the cups are very molded so I don't reach for it very often.

I go for these options rather than strapless --

Racerback bras
http://www.herroom.com/vanity-.....-bra.shtml

this convertible Natori bra
http://www.herroom.com/natori-.....-bra.shtml

and a meant-to-peek under clothing Cami bra (mine is not made anymore but this one's like it)
http://www.herroom.com/natori-.....-bra.shtml

I saw Natori cami bras on sale at Loehmanns a few weeks ago; they were under $30 there.

The best strapless bra I've ever tried was the Le Mystere no 9 one. Oddly, it's designed for women with breast implants, which I don't have, but it definitely works with a smaller ribcage/larger bust. I got mine at Nordstrom.

Cileena and Una, I used to have one of the clear strap bras and I do not recommend it. In my opinion the clear straps just looked really goofy since it was still really obvious that they were there, plus they were kind of shiny which just looks weird. The straps on mine were also plastic, which was really uncomfortable on sweaty, hot days.

I don't have any good strapless bra recs... I find them all super uncomfortable. Under tanks and things with straps, I honestly just wear a regular bra with decent looking straps. I don't really care about bra straps showing though... it does not bother me either on myself or others so long as the top is not sleeveless. On the rare occasions when I wear strapless things, I and my C-cups just go braless.

Thanks Di.

Una, I've seen those too. Maybe. I think a racerback bra might work too.

I have never tried them but I have seen bras with clear straps. Obviously you can still "see" the strap, but it seems much less noticeable.

Di-the link is going to the home page on bare necessities. Which bra is it?

nancylee-I hear you. I didn't like strapless bras when I was a B cup, now I'm not sure how it's going to work. I've just seen so many cute spaghetti strapped dresses and tanks with racerbacks that I need something. I'll check Le Mystere.

I really hate wearing strapless bras, but I do own one for those rare occasions. It's a Le Mystere and this brand is supposedly known for making good strapless bras.

I'm also a DD/E, and strapless bras drive me out of my mind. Honestly, to keep them from drifting towards my waist, the longline ones are way better than anything else I've tried-- but that's obviously not what you want with tank tops. This one stays up fairly well: http://www.barenecessities.com.....search=32E I find, in general, that I have to sacrifice shape for support (at least a little bit) with strapless bras, and this one is no exception.

I'll add, too, that while I hate tanks with shelf bras for layering, if I'm going to wear them alone they do tend to keep a strapless bra where it's meant to be.

*sigh* This is an area of expertise I wish I didn't have.

As if I didn't already have enough issues with bras, now I need a strapless bra. With summer approaching and the fact that most New England homes don't have air conditioning, it is necessary to wear tanks and sleeveless tops. I'd really like a strapless bra or one that will work with tank tops. The straps show with my existing bras, no matter what the type of sleeveless top it it. I'm a DD/E cup so I need a little support. I'm not going to go jogging in it, but I'd like to be able to go for a walk comfortably without the girls moving too much.
