I think these pants look really good on you. Yes there is some whiskering so not quite a 10.

I prefer longer length for straight legs -- I like some scrunch around the ankles. That said, I'd definitely wear these pants tucked into tall boots, which I live in during the winter, since it's cold here.

Thanks Mona and Krista. I think I'll hang on to them for now but keep looking too to see if I can find a pair to work with the boots and flats.

I personally think the pants are too short with those boots, but since I have yet to master PPL myself, don't use me as the official judge!

pil, I really like this blouse on you. The colours are happy and the fit is great. I can see the whiskering in this photo but otherwise the pants are great.

This impartial feedback is so great - thank you! I'm late returning to the thread because I was at my class reunion in my new purple dress last night. It was plenty warm so the white demin jacket was not necessary.

I tried one more picture but the light just isn't great and the dark color doesn't help. Is the creasing in the front what is known as "whiskering"? This pic is also for a visual with my new boots, but I'm not loving them together. Are the pants too short or do they feel that way because the boots are too light? Or maybe it is because it is a completely different look for me.

JR, wolf whistles - you're funny and I'm not holding my breath : )
Angie, Sveta, Suz, Deborah, KathyL, Lynn, Joy, Krista and Shannon thanks for the positive reinforcement. And Beth Ann, if I look well proportioned, I must be on the right track with this blouse. Yay!

I think the whole outfit is a winner. I like the fact that the blouse is slightly assymmetrical with the tie so that it doesn't make a horizontal line. i also like the fit and straight legs of the pants. They will probably stretch some as you wear them. Try wearing them around the house for a few hours.

The blouse looks great. The jeans are hard to judge but seem ok to me. If you aren't feeling it though, keep looking.

Love the blouse! It is cheery and flattering. The darkness of the photo makes it hard to see too much detail, but the fit of the pants looks good -- and the length is fine for flats!

I see someone who is extremely well proportioned -- you have lovely shoulders, strong but ladylike, that balance the nice curve in your hips. Good for you for trying pants that fit just right -- not to loose and not too tight!

I really like that blouse on you. It's a great color and fits nicely. The fit of the jeans seem ok to me, but its hard to tell from the pictures. If it doesn't feel perfect or comfortable, go with your instincts and return.

The jeans look really good. And I like the blouse. The length of the jeans looks good to me and you can wear them with various heel heights.

The colour of that top is gorgeous with your hair. Very pretty.

And the jeans look great! The nice thing about straight legs is that you can wear them with different heel heights and not worry as much about PPL.

You are doing great. And do not look like anybody's grandma.

I love that top on you. I don't think a necklace is necessary; it looks good as is. Those softer lines certainly seem to love you back so much better than the angular ones. And the pants flatter your figure so nicely too. I don't think they're too short, personally, although a wee bit longer wouldn't hurt.

All in all, I find this to be the most flattering outfit I've seen you in. You might start attracting wolf whistles in it. Is your hubby prepared to deal with that?

My dip into the color jeans pool. They are brown so it's hard to see the fit in the picture. While I have typically been one to wear pants on the loose side these feel form fitting but not unreasonably so. There is some creasing across the front and I'm feeling they are too short, so conclusion #1 is that I should keep looking.

The little tie on the hip of the blouse I thought was cute and the colors are happy. I'm conscious of my rolls and thought this style blouse worked at disguising them without looking like a housecoat. I prefer a V neck shirt but thought this was not too high of a neck on me. A long necklace to wear with it perhaps?

Other pictures I have posted with tops/bottoms have typically been guilty of the boxy horizontal line look. I *think* this is better as the blouse is more free flowing than my jackets. The color values of the blouse and pants are different, but the brighter color is on top drawing attention to the face. Conclusion #2 is that the blouse is fine.

Am I close at all? Please tell me if I'm not : ) Sorry this is so long. Thanks!

(On a mopey note, editing these pictures was soooo painful. The gigantic face on the computer screen that reminded me of my grandmas. As much as I loved them, I'm not ready to be them.)
