I think they're too short to do it that way. I guess I'll be returning them and looking for a longer pair, but they were so comfortable and would have been cute!

Hmmm. I don't fold mine over. I cinch them at the back as I put on my boots and fan them out a wee bit once my boot is on. Make sense?

My jeans are actually a good length with flats right now, but somehow when I tuck them in to boots, they need to be cuffed once so they sit around my ankles, which would definitely not be a good look. It almost makes me wish stirrup pants would come back!

Why don't you hem those jeans. You don’t wear heels so they should work equally well with your flats. You might find that a slightly longer boot (like an inch longer) will work a little better. Keep trying though, this is a great look!

I haven't actually worn them out yet to know if they would stay in or not, but I'm not sure if they would.

My jeans are too long so I have to cuff them, which just adds to the bunchy look. The thigh is also slightly relaxed so it looks like they're tapered rather than straight, but I have heavier thighs so I prefer not to wear my jeans too snug. I was looking for boots I could wear with the jeans I have, so buying new jeans just to wear with these boots isn't practical. I'll probably end up returning them.

These ankle boots should work well Mayapple. I have a cream pair very similar to these, that are a little longer on the leg and I tuck my straight leg jeans into them all the time and it works perfectly. Is the opening of the boot wide enough or are your jeans too long? Do your jeans un-tuck when you walk?

I am getting weary of wearing skin tight skinny jeans just so I can tuck them into tall boots, but my straight jeans are too bunchy.

So I thought maybe I could get some ankle boots to wear under my jeans, but since I can't wear heels or pointy toes, they looked dumpy.

With that in mind I got these http://www.6pm.com/n/p/p/7259159.html to tuck straight jeans into, but they don't quite work. There's just too much fabric bunching up at the ends and it looks funny.

So am I out of luck?
