I store mine using a scarf hanger like this one, but none of my scarves are very delicate or expensive. I'm not sure what I'd do with a hermes scarf! Probably buy it its own bed to sleep in. Do post a pic if you buy the one you have your eye on, it sounds glorious.

I have 3 Hermes scarves. I store them in the original boxes. They were folded when I received them, and they stay that way in the boxes and ha e been fine. I keep the rest of my scarves, most of them silk, in the pockets of an over the door shoe container. They are loosely folded or rolled.

I fold/roll mine and store in fabric boxes. I don't own anything as precious as a Hermes, but my silks don't seem to suffer from this treatment.

I roll and stuff through a hanger that has holes in it, but I do not have fine silk! Mine are all cotton or light wool. Or synthetic. :D

I do a combo fold and roll like Janet describes and then store in a vertical, hanging shoe container in the closet. I have a number of lovely silk scarves. I’m always on the lookout for scarves at consignment store and have had great success over dying them by hand.

I do a sort of combo fold/roll, depending on the scarf’s size and thickness. Then they are “filed” in fabric storage boxes in an armoire — Similar to the Marie Kondo video. The boxes work almost like removable shelves. Yes, I have a lot of scarves. Hope you share a photo of the Hermès!

I do not like folding, if I could I would not fold anything. I think that a hanger is a good idea. My method: I roll the scarf around my hand, then slip it off and put the "roll" in an old tin cookie box, without the lid, in a drawer. This way I can see them all in one go.

For the Hermes silk, what about hanging it on a velvel slim hanger? They are genius at holding slippery items.

I store mine folded in shallow IKEA drawers. I have many silk scarves I have owned for more than 20 years and they are in excellent condition - I don’t think the folding has made any damage.

I didn't think about rolling them. This might work for the smaller scarves using a cardboard roller from something like paper towels.

I’m not going to be much help, because I say wear it - don’t store it!

I store my (few) scarves folded, but not folded small IYKWIM in a drawer that has very little else and where there is lots of room. But if I have the scarf in rotation, I just drape it over a hanger under a coat, in my front closet - because I’m likely to wear it every day. A Hermes scarf is #bucketlist - but I’m still playing with thrifted silk scarves ATM.

Please post pics of your Hermes pets, MsMaven.

Do you store scarves flat? How do you store them so you can see them?

So I've been perusing the Hermes website. I bought my first an only Hermes scarf in the late '80s after our first trip to Europe--mainly Paris. It seemed like every woman over 30 had a draped Hermes scarf to wear with her neat little suit. But I digress. I bought a scarf here after we got back and had it for years.

I've wanted an Hermes panther or tiger scarf for a while, but the colors weren't quite right. I may have found one. The care instructions say store flat, without folds. I don't have a cupboard or drawer big enough to lay a scarf flat, especially if it it 36 x 36. Right now I have mine draped over non-slip hangars in my closet, least folds manageable, where I can see them.

My dermatologist advises me to wear a scarf around my neck, especially in summer. Too much sun exposure in back and I never seem to get the sunscreen spread out enough. So I also have a growing collection of smaller square cotton scarves and bandanas. I keep them folded once in a drawer for now.

If I get the scarf that is calling to me, I'm not sure how I can store it.
