There are plenty colours that would look considerably better against our colourings, but many resort to wearing black as a "safe" solution. </p> <p>Actually, there was even more black clothing to see in Scandinavia a few years ago. Lately, retail has offered more colour variety, but mainly in summer. Most winter items are still offered in black. And many of us FEEL warmer in black--another reason why it can make sense to wear black in the cold.</p> <p>Bare ankles seem to be popular year round among young people here in Scandinavia. Most come to better thoughts after 20 or 25. ;-)</p> <p>Sometimes we might become sick and tired of wearings pants or opaques during our long winters. Or we just want or need a more elegant option. This might have been some of the reasons why you saw lots of women wearing sheer black hosiery with skirts. I am pleased to share a secret: Some of us wear sheer nude hosiery under our sheer black hosiery, and this extra, invisible, layer helps a lot! :-)</p> <p>By the way, in which part of the world do you yourself live?
