As a child, I always wore socks over them, so the stirrups never showed when worn with sneakers, and often they were tucked into boots (I did take riding lessons for a <i>very </i>short period of time--it was expensive as all heck). They might make for a fun silhouette variant. I'll need to think about it, though, as I'm focusing on avoiding impulse buys this year and they're not on my initial list. </p>
