I am a petite person, but I have long legs, so often petite pants would be too short. Regular lengths were too long. Stirrup pants were the first pants that actually fit me well. I wore them with oversized blazers, enhanced by shoulder pads. Long over lean began for me in the late 80’s. &nbsp;I am not sure I would wear them again. &nbsp;To me, unless I wanted the stirrup to show, there would be no point in wearing them. I wore that trend already! I remember not being able to find ones quite my size -- if they fit in the waist they were too short, and if they were long enough, the stirrups bunched in my shoes. But by gosh, I bought them anyway, in the too small size, so I could get the smooth, tension-induced effect of the stirrup elastic.&nbsp; As a result, I ended up with my crotch looking like it landed mid-thigh.
