I think I'd end up repeating myself a lot!</p> <p>I feel like many of these come close and have elements of what I'm looking for, but that I don't yet have the perfect combination of shape/size and colour. I want glasses that are a bit bold and a bit fun, but not kooky or overwhelming. Classic but not dull. A bit geeky is fine by me. Or maybe a bit arty -- branching out into different shapes such as #7.</p> <p>My optician doesn't carry every colour in every style, so I've been limited to trying on what they have in stock. For them to order a different colour would require that I commit to the frame, so I'm working on finding lower commitment ways to see those other colours. You have to have an appointment to try on frames, so checking out alternate retailers isn't exactly as simple as it was in the past! (means I have to do some planning.)</p> <p>I don't know that I necessarily want another pair of red frames, because I think I could still wear my current pair. I actually had teal or green in mind when I started my hunt. Or some kind of grey and white tortoise, which I just haven't found yet. </p> <p>I did some online research last night and the frames in #7 come in what appears to be a green tortoise around a steel grey frame. I just need to see if there's a way to try it. A couple of the other frames might also have good colour options - if I can find them.</p> <p>As to what would work with my wardrobe -- that's a good question! I have almost no wardrobe to speak of right now and will be building pretty much from scratch starting this spring. My current red frames work a bit like "lipstick" -- they go with whatever I am wearing. I expect that I will build a base of white/cream, beige, tan, burgundy, grey, camel/shades of brown and some black. As it becomes available, I'll also add some bright colour -- for example I bought a lovely fresh green merino pullover yesterday that I think will be a keeper</p> <p>I'm definitely not prepared to "settle" for a pair that is just okay, My prescription tends to be very expensive and I wear my glasses pretty much all day every day. As Carla says, angels have to sing. This is no piece of cloth I can easily get rid of if I tire of it</p> <p>Your comments have helped me clarify that NO, I don't necessarily want another pair of red glasses while I can still wear these ones.
