I am younger than 40 but really think the shimmer is subtle. It doesn't really show up that much once I put it on. Do you have a Sephora by you? If so, go try it on and see. I've always thought Stila shimmer eyeshadows were a lot more subtle than those of other brands. I guess the only way you would know whether it worked for you is to try it out! </p> <p>A nice, soft shimmer placed strategically will open up the eye area. I think a little bit of shimmer just there, on the brow bone, can look nice on anyone regardless of age. But I am unsure about the golden-pink part; I'm thinking more like a white? </p> <p>Okay maybe don't ask me.... She said it is a golden-pink shade and it is flattering on everyone. I have looked into this product and it seems it is very, very shimmery. I am not sure if this is indeed flattering on an over 40 year old gal.
