I love this eyeshadow and wear it all the time. I am younger than 40 but really think the shimmer is subtle. It doesn't really show up that much once I put it on. Do you have a Sephora by you? If so, go try it on and see. My guess is that you won't notice the shimmer that much.

Kitten to me is more of a pinky-beige shimmer; I used to have it but it never really showed up on my skin because I am fairly dark. susand -- have you seen it in person? I've always thought Stila shimmer eyeshadows were a lot more subtle than those of other brands. I guess the only way you would know whether it worked for you is to try it out!

A nice, soft shimmer placed strategically will open up the eye area. I'm not a makeup artist though, so I'll leave it to the experts to chime in on how to apply

I gave up wearing eye shadow about 10 years ago, but if I was to attempt it again, the only place I'd apply any shimmer is just below the brow and not on the lid. I think a little bit of shimmer just there, on the brow bone, can look nice on anyone regardless of age. But I am unsure about the golden-pink part; I'm thinking more like a white?

Okay maybe don't ask me.... I'm clueless when it comes to eye shadow.

I think shimmery is very hard to wear- i'm 29 and stay away from it as my eyelids are quite heavy, i think it highlights any flaws x

If it's shimmery, I'd pass. I'm only 36 but I am having to stay away from shimmery shadows already.

Last week on the Today Show they had a make up expert on the program and she listed her top 10 products.

One of her picks is Stila Kitten eyeshadow. She said it is a golden-pink shade and it is flattering on everyone. I have looked into this product and it seems it is very, very shimmery. I am not sure if this is indeed flattering on an over 40 year old gal. I have tried to stay away from shimmer because it seems to attract attention to my fine lines around my eyes.

Can anyone provide me with more information on whether or not this is a product I should pursue?

Thanks in advance,
Susan D
