Thanks Stirling. I don't have time to go measure right now, but I will make my best guess. (I have training for our new electronic record system this morning. ----ugh!!). I purchased two on sale from Revolve, and also two from Eileen Fisher. They very in length and where they hit me from just above my knee to 5-6 inches above my ankle. I seem to wear the shorter sweater the most, the one that is about 39-40 inches in length and hits just above my knees. I'm not sure if that's because of its material, which is silk, or its length. The second most frequently used sweater is slightly longer and hits me just below my knee in front, but has a high low hem and hits mid calf in back. I wear the longest sweater the least frequently. I think it's a bit cumbersome, but very beautiful. It gets caught in office chairs when I roll them. (Something to keep in mind if you sit in rolling chairs!)

I really like what you wrote here:

Sterling, I have taken a likening to wearing duster coats and sweaters year round. I have a small collection of 4 of them now in various materials (linen, silk, merino, cashmere). I love them in an air conditioned building because they are cozy and warm. I think they look very elegant on tall ladies. I joke that the back flies out like a superhero cape, but I work with children, and have a playful side to me. In reality, there isn't anything costume like about them, especially when paired with a nice outfit underneath. They lengthen your line, so whatever you are wearing will pretty much work. I am a sheath dress person, so I wear sheaths, but I also wear my jeans and tops, or trousers and knit sweaters when it's cold. They can be wrapped around and belted with an Obi or some other sort of belt if you want, if you want to prevent the cape like effect.

You are tall. Where do you duster coats/sweaters hit on your leg? Do you have issues finding garments that are sufficiently long for your height? Even if I don't buy my Eileen Fisher duster, I AM going to experiment with this new silhouette. Thank you for bringing to my attention.
