Well I am about to make my winter shopping trip. I should have about 3 hours on Easter Sat in the city. Not very long! I am getting a bit nervous about whether I can manage it. We will be visiting a regional city on holiday after Easter so I may be able to get something there if I don't get it on the Sat.

Actually Angie I think I would want it longer. Long enough to sit on would be my criteria. You are right about the cold though. It would be rare for for the daytime temp to be in less than 12 degrees (53 F). It is still pretty summery so it is hard to even think about coats - I just know from last year that this was a wardrobe hole.

As for the shoes, I would wear them with hose, socks and jeans and probably bare-legged as well,

Yup. That looks like a puffer, Anne. Do you really want it so short? I guess it doesn't get that cold in Oz.

I really like the first pair of shoes. Do you plan to wear these with socks, Anne?

Something like this Angie
http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Women.....41432.shtm
though I don't particularly like that one.

In answer to your earlier question, in addition to the trench (which I got in 2008, not 1998, that was a typo!) I have a pink princess line mid thigh wool coat with a high neckline. 5 years old. It isn't great but it will do. Don't think I have ever shown it on YLF (Since YLF I regret not getting the other one I was deliberating between, which was also pink but false plain, banded and more retro and only $10 more. I thought it might be date more)

Not sure why I thought you'd disapprove of my shoe thoughts, but maybe this will illuminate. I am after a supremely comfortable orthotic fitting shoe. Something like these but dependent on what I can actually purchase locally.

I am beginning to think out my purchases for the coming winter. As usual, I don't plan to buy all that much and want to get items which I'll wear a lot.

I wanted to get your input while you are still wearing your cold weather items
So far on my list is

Top priority
* a new casual winter parka/anorak - mine is SIXTEEN years old
* new orthotic friendly shoes, probably mary jane (possibly not YLF approved, sadly)

If I can find them
* a sweater dress
* superior replacements for my denim jacket and pleather jacket

Other possibilities
* tartan longline shirt
* ruched sleeve top - love this look
*one or 2 variations on a long sleeve tshirt

I may stretch to 2 jumper/cardigans. If you would recommend only 2 for this winter, what would they be?

Also, could someone please post me the list with all the autumn MOTG formulas as I'd like to go over them again.

I'd welcome any general comments as well - thanks in advance
