I think one of my resolutions this year is to resist tripling and quadrupling, but I bet I'll still dulplicate!<br />First - I've had a terrible time with Blondo's from season to season - same style. I thought it was just me. I often find them - new with tags- on eBay, but with one pair I even wondered if I'd gotten a fake of sorts, there were that many differences (like the interior material, the fob on the zipper). I found MY favourite sneaker 8 years ago and unashamedly added to the collection since then and am very reluctant to part with that beloved first pair (the grey with pink and purple stripes).&nbsp;</p> <p>Often when I wear out a favourite shoe, I try to find a replacement which is near impossible. I wore out my cream boots and replaced them with the pale grey. I own three pairs of Ecco tennis shoes in different colorways and wear all three of them equally. However, this year I ordered my beloved white monk strap shoes in a different color, and they were nowhere near as comfortable! When I packed them up and sent them back, the post office lost them. I had not insured them because they were not that expensive. I would use black, navy and taupe as my main core neutrals (I also love a deep gray or bitter brown, but don't have enough of them to consider them core, if that makes sense). I lean heavily on my black base in the winter months and through DD's competition season. Usually by May I want to lighten things up and shift more towards navy and taupe. But I use them all, all year round! I would say footwear wise I have more black than anything else, mainly because winter requires more types of footwear than any other season. These loafers have been WINNERS with the addition of insoles to improve fit. With my fussy feet and walking lifestyle, I'm all too happy to find shoes that tick the boxes. I wanted polished, lower-heeled black booties for my "black months" (typically January through April I favour black as my base dark neutral). In my research I came upon this pair from Sam Edelman that I really liked the look of. The price was right and they are really comfortable. I'm so glad and am confident they are going to be workhorses!</p> <p>I'm tempted to by the brown suede ones too, since my Naturalizer brown booties have been rather a fail - but I'm not sure how I feel about the wastefulness of this. The Naturalizers are fine and I can live with them ... but I have so many problems finding boots I'm happy with that I'm going to give it some thought.</p> <p>Meanwhile, I'll take the W!
