Maya - Typically I'm an American 9.5, but I often need to take a 9 or a 10, as it's not very easy to find that size. I count my blessings though! I am very glad that I don't wear an 11 or 12 American. That would really make things difficult.

I am sending "very fast shipping" vibes your way! Please post a pic when they come.

Well, if all else fails I guess I can wear some thinner socks! I have 3 sock weights in my drawer for different boots! I truly cannot wait for them to get here. Even though I know it is not physically possible for them to be here today, I keep checking the tracking information anyway! But after this I am on the shopping ban of a lifetime.

Jenny, you're too funny! What size do you wear?

That’s right, Maya. But I don’t wear thick socks and I have narrower feet than you, so I thought you might require a 7.5. But my guess is a 7 and then we'll be footwear twins again.

I usually wear a smaller size or the same size as you Angie, so I think (and hope) I won't need a 7.5. I only own one pair of 7.5's and that is because they are very pointy toes compared to what I usually wear and seemed to run small anyway.

These are the ones I got:

I agree with sizing up. I'm normally a 10 and got an 11 in these (no half sizes when your foot is big!) I was worried they'd be too big, but its fine, even with very thin tights! Can't wait to see you sporting these boots Maya - I love mine!!!

At least a 7. I had to size up to a 7. You might even need a 7.5!

OK Donna, excellent. My brulees are also a 6.5 so I think I can go for a 7.

See, my foot measures out to a 6 but it is wide, so I have shoes ranging from a 6 to a 7.5 in my closet! It's very confusing having such a disproportionate foot.

Anyway, in my desperation I looked them up on ebay and found just one pair in the color I wanted and they were a 7, so I took a chance on them. For $49 (incl. shipping), it's worth it. I use the Dr Scholl's double air pillow insoles, which take up quite a bit of space. I think with thick socks and my wide foot it should work. Fingers crossed.

Hi Maya - I usually wear a 6 1/2 in an open shoe and a 7 in a closed toe shoe. I bought the Star Lings in 7 1/2. I *might* have been able to get away with a 7 but I didn't want to take the time to reorder. I put an insert in and wear socks and they're fine. Just for reference, my Brulee's are 6 1/2.

I typically wear a 7 but sized up to a 7.5. The 7's were fine with thin socks but decided I'd like a bit more room for bulky winter socks. I couldn't wear them any bigger than a 7.5--a half size up and the heel slips a bit but not enough to be annoying. HTH.

Maya, I typically wear 8 or 8.5 and I got 8.5 in these boots. I have oddly shaped toes, and if the toe box is pointy or narrow, I typically have to size up. I don't think you need to go up more than half a size or they will start falling off your feet, as they are roomy around the ankles.

How do these run? They just went on sale again on Nordies and I'm adding them to my wish list.

I like to wear insoles and thick socks in my boots, so most of my boots are a 7 (I usually wear a 6). I do have a few pairs that are a 6.5 though, but those did not require an insole.
