It might be just me. I always think of olive as being a darker and richer colour -- more of a green -- whereas army green is a brownish/greyish barely-green colour. :-) All I know is that if you try to wear army green pants on St. Patrick's day as your "green item", people will still say "It's St. Patrick's Day! Why aren't you wearing green?". And if you try to convince them that your pants are green, they usually won't buy it. I kind of feel like army green doesn't count. (And most of my army green is bottoms, anyway). I think olive works, it's on the greener side, but army green is greyish. But I will be wearing a kelly green tee shirt on the 17th, though -- I always keep one for that purpose.
