On people? No trends really. It's not that kind of place. In stores further a field, I've noticed that hemlines are coming down. I bought a dress this year that is a different colour from the same cut dress I bought last year at the same store and now it's longer. I've bought some other dresses and the same thing. Last year they were well above knee and now they are knee length or slightly longer.

It's been a couple years for boyfriend jeans and I still haven't seen anyone wearing any.

I see lots of pastels, neutrals and orange. Cropped skinny pants, pointy toes, motos and blazers in jersey, often with pattern. Midis are few and afar, particularly in a full silhouette.

Ok. So... at the office here. It's all skinnies, handkerchief hem cardigans (not the avant garde kind; the eco-fashion kind), knee boots, flats (black and taupe). Apart from the dressier sales reps (pumps and sheath dresses) and the (ahem) normcore people. No standouts and no springy items really, but we're expecting a little more winter rain for the next week.

My co-worker at the bakery did buy herself a dark blue maxi in anticipation of spring, though.

I see pastels, boyfriend jeans, and cropped trousers often. Also I'm seeing a lot of knit blazers and striped blazers which is funny because I remember those on a list from a season or two back.

In stores, and this is mall stores - Macy's, Gap, H&M and off-price retailers Marshalls/T J Maxx, and Target I'm seeing: maxi dresses, some cage or minimalist refined look wide strap sandals, but just as many platform wedge sandals. Some coral, blush, mint and a lot of black, gray, sand and white as spring colors, plus pastels. Some Okala look heeled strap sandals. Flowy track or tapered pants in black or b/w small pattern for juniors especially. Statement necklaces. I am seeing a few of the linen tees and Zara type cotton sweaters - the neutral boxy minimalism/natural materials looks.

Few things have gone well, the white denim jacket, the rushed sleeve navy blazer, grey ankle pants, the pointy toe black and white flats, and navy low heel pointy toe pumps. No luck finding a print bomber jacket in a silky fabric. and the biggest no luck with white loafers -tried on some, on line Amazon purchase had to be returned, but not given up yet.

New on the list is another maxi skirt. Have one in black that I have worn a lot, so want a beige, tan, or lite grey. The grey I see look like sort of old sweats like fabric, only thinner.. so mostly ruling out the grey.

Things I am seeing as big trends around here are maxi skirts and dresses (even in the windows at shops and botiques in Laguna Beach, and lots in stores) gladiator sandals, mostly wedges, statement necklaces and larger pendant ones. and BF jeans.

What are the differences in trends you see in your area as compared to those on this board, Angies trend reports, etc., and you
