All those wonderful redheads from our childhood! For me there was also the Japanese animé Candy Candy...
In French, Pippi Longstockings becomes Fifi Brindacier (Pippi Strand-of-steel), and our national Anne of Green Gables, Anne aux pignons verts. I don't know Hollie Hobbie.

(Pippi Longstockings was another redhead wearing stripes!)

I really like all of the striped top/print scarf combos. I am not a fan of the dress and jacket together, it is just really busy. But I do think the striped top with florals works, I especially like the red stripe one.

Lovely Raggedy Ann pic. I did Google her this afternoon and then remembered Raggedy Andy as well. Funny how some of these childhood things are buried quite deep in the memory. I saw quite a few Raggedy Ann Halloween costumes when I Googled!
I remember Pippi Longstocking too. And the Pollyanna stories as well as all the Anne of Green Gables series and other LMMontgomery heroines. I was quite the bookworm. Oh, and Holly Hobbie!

Thank you, this is very helpful! Print mixing is a delicate operation and your constructive feedback encourage me.

shevia, I have been my hair done by a stylist who was actually recommended to me right here on this site by somebody who found out we lived in the same town. I am so happy with him.

binkle, Jenni, what you say helps me. I understand what you say about the belt and now I see it too. But it needs to be belted, otherwise the knit top kind of float over from bust to hips creating a square. Which wouldn't be bad in itself, but added to the print and my small stature, I feel it's too much. I think #12 needs a different belt altogether. Or a different black and white striped top.

Jenni, I did grow up with Raggedy Ann and Andy... but thank you for the compliment It's something in the striped arms + sleeveless dress over top + red hair.

Suz, it's so funny you mentioned Scandinavian look, it's a look I've always admired and wanted to emulate. Thank you for your honest feedback on the jacket+dress combo. I think I'm going to try to wear it out, just to check reactions. I predict it won't be good for the most part because I work in a very laid back, rural area while living in an administrative city. But I'll do it, now you dared me!

I actually love the B&W jacket with the floral skirt! It's clever and fun. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to wear it, but I like it. I like it best closed and belted, though, I admit.

Stripes and florals work great! They are cute with the clogs -- very Scandinavian feeling. I like #12 and #13 for this look best.

The colours in 7/8 are gorgeous on you. Wow.

What Binkle said. #12 is the best for me, and I do like the belt. You are funny about Raggedy Ann. I thought you would be too young to remember that doll! Going to Google it/her.

I don't think the b&w jacket with the dress combo works so well. Each pattern's busy-ness is too similar.

The contrast of #12 stripe top and floral skirt work best for a mix, though I'm not a fan of the belted look. Also the looks with the red/white stripe are nice too (maybe not under the dress though - just my eye I think.

I like your reddish hair a lot! All of these look great - maybe the last one is a lot going on. My favorite is #3.

Inspired by Angie's post about Spring and how it's time for print mixing, I decided to give it a try myself with things I had in my summer boxes. And here are some results.
Thank you for looking!

(ps The last one I'm not sure. I put it there for the sake of trying every possibility. But looking at the pic, I find it looks too RaggedyAnne-y!)

(pps: I'm on the fence for the flower print dress with the black and white jacket...I don't know if I need to adjust my eyes or if it just doesn't work).
