Ebay is also a great source for preloved pieces, it takes time to remove the churn... Would love to see those shoes in blue, must be stunning! Cardiff girl, that's so interesting indeed! I seldom buy from M&S and the JL, but my main go-to shops are either French or Italian as their sizing works better for me.  N, thanks! I think accessories are a great starting point for preloved pieces. Japan has quite a good selection of them. If it is any consolation, a Kimono is one of the pieces of my shopping list so I'm looking at  Kimono sellers in Etsy and they are mostly located in Japan! I am feeling very hopeful too and am planning to visit some second hand and charity shops as well. You also reminded me to polish my footwear, I try to do it at the beginning of each season... The shoes are adorable - hope they will work out for you. My project is alterations ( done by a professional seamstress ) to adjust the rise on my 2 pairs of pants ( they havn't got much wear because of that issue ). Both are cropped in length and perfect for spring.  I gave up on the quest for perfect fitting pants and would rather fix the ones I already have . My spring shopping is going very slowly due to stores not being open yet. I have picked up a second hand boho top and some white pants and am waiting to see what I need. It will probably be pull-on pants, although I can get by by rolling long pants at the ankles. I am thinking that I may need a try on of tops to see what is too short. Especially the scarf, to me. It will look so good with your new pants. I haven’t had that much luck shopping pre-loved, only one item out of 12 last year. I wonder if sometimes I am too specific. I bought so little that any one thing had to be exactly what I wanted? Like I wanted “silver” pants. I tried 6 thrift stores but in the end found some new ones in the back sale room of my favourite boutique. My wardrobe size is quite a bit reduced and I like everything in it so currently having fun mixing and matching, especially since it’s a transitional season. Thanks to a strict shopping list and Brexit, I have been able to add 3 new pieces that should work well with my wardrobe and help extend the use of my current pieces. Both scarf and jumper are preloved, the chino were a M&S surprise find, hopefully the weather will get warmer and I'll be able to wear them! It's a straight cut and I went for a loose fit and the colour is just lovely! Lastly, the neutral sandals are on the fence as I am waiting for some pictures from the seller, but I am hoping they will be my next purchase. I am keeping my finger's crossed as I really love that retro look and they seem to be very comfy! On the plus side, I used the last three months to review, replair and replace various pieces in my wardrobe: a cashmere cardi has now a new lease of life thanks to suede elbow patches, my house slippers have been repaired more than once, few buttons have been replaced to revamp a blouse, my black jeans look new thanks to black die and finally I replaced my beloved navy jumper. The old jumper is now a little cushion for Tiger, who's been enjoiying very much. I find the slow process in repairing, mending and replacing very gratifying and far less stressful than shopping under Brexit, which is a nightmare! I am curious to hear if any other fellow fabbers are having similar challenges. The idea of travelling to Europe to shop the remaining pieces in my shopping list is becoming more and more appealing, we'll see. How about you, how is your shopping going this year? It'd be interesting to know how 2021 is developing, hopefully in a positive way
