Joy, that comment is hillarious!

I must confess that I went out and bought a pair of white pants to wear this past summer I'm in Australia) principally as an act of defiance (in part) to the fact that I am a SAHM of three young boys and feel like I have to "be practical" all the time. Says who?!

Despite having strong fears I would be covered with sticky jam finger marks within five minutes of putting them on in the morning, strangely enough, I have got heaps of wear out of them! Stain (nappy) soaker is my best friend, and honestly, they have come up like new time and time again. They feel so much cooler and fresher than black or darker coloured pants when it is hot and humid. (Not that I'm game to post a picture of me in them - I have a feeling that the length is an Angie fashion don't. Ooopsies. Oh well, you live, you learn...... :-))

I have two young kids but will be braving the white bottoms this summer. I got my white skinnies at the end of last season so we'll see how successful I am...

A high of 44 degrees today and it feels toasty compared to the temp in February, my coral coat is definitely welcoming spring. I also wore cream jeans with my denim shirt at the weekend but they were soon covered in banana so are going back into hibernation for another year.

I am struggling with this as well. It's low 40s in the morning , and then temps get over 60s during the day. Jeans and shoes with socks feel too heavy already, and it's only March, so I don't know what's the best way to layer at this point. And then of course I don't feel like I have things sorted out for spring yet.

Its nice not to be sweating at 8am and hiding in the air con at 3pm, but I'm finding my wardrobe is fairly limited in what I will actually wear in public now because its still too warm to wear jeans or l/s tops.

I'll just have to borrow from Angie's closet ;-)
I think the biggest hole in my spring wardrobe is in the shoe department. I think that I hesitate buying spring friendly shoes because I know that soon enough I'll be in sandals all summer. I have one pair of Me Too silver ballet flats that would work with alot of my stuff but I have to wear a bandaide on my bunion or they hurt. (lesson learned)
I guess I should put off my summer shoe buy and invest in a spring friendly shoe in a fun color. this ought to be a fun hunt....

sigh.... I hope you guys are able to put up with me over the next few weeks as I get my spring dressing in order. honestly, I could have gone 2 more months with winter, I was really beginning to have fun!

Your skin is probably tougher than mine Shana. I wore pumps for the first time last week and I was in agony when I got home, and as always, the back of my heels/ankles were bleeding and my last two toes felt crushed.

I actually don't mind sandals. They hurt the soles of my feet a little but it's nothing terrible. It's the in-between footwear I can't stand. Luckily I have my Pikos now though! I keep waiting for all this stupid rain to end so I can give them their first real test run, and it looks like the rain is finally letting up tomorrow.

*chuckle*. This was fun to read.

This is how I put the Spring back into my wardrobe (50 to 60 degrees):

o	Button downs (ahem...and denim shirt)
o	Blazers
o	Silk blouses with cardigans
o	Cobalt blue three-quarter sleeve retro coat
o	Cream trench coat
o	Dresses sans hose with boots (chestnut, white, cream and grey boots – no black)
o	White jeans
o	White camisoles
o	Bright cotton scarves
o	Apple green cowboy boots
o	Red booties
o	Extremely bright knitwear
o	Extremely bright handbags

You don't need to wear bright colours. Wear which ever colours tickle your fancy. I happen to love bright, saturated colours so I wear them. But I also love black and white and wear that a lot too. Hope that makes sense.

This is how I felt last week. Luckily (ha) it got cold again, but it's going to warm up later in the week. As much as I love the weather, natural beauty, and the cheeriness of spring, I *hate* it as far as getting dressed. Having to break my sensitive skin back into regular shoes is always a horrible and painful experience, and the pain doesn't really go away completely until fall. I am just really prone to blisters. Even my wonderful Brulees give the soles of my feet blisters, but at least the straps don't cut or rub my toes.

I like being able to wear jackets without a coat on top, but as soon as the jacket has to come off, I feel like my outfits just fall apart. I wish I had more standalone pieces instead of just having to layer all the time.

Kim, Angie also did a great post last spring about adding "spring" accessories like a scarf, jewelry etc. You could probably stick with the tops/cardigans/denim jacket that you already have and switch out to flats instead of boots and add a spring scarf/jewelry.

Well, we are supposed to hit 62 on Wednesday so woo hoo! I'm with Khris - I love spring because I can pull out all these great jackets that don't get much use otherwise. They're too bulky for me to layer under a coat in the winter and they're too hot in the summer. I haven't pulled out my white jeans just yet but I have been wearing my white cords and have been layering "spring" tops with cardigans & my coat on cold days and with jackets on the warmer days. I'm not wearing sandals but have worn flats on the warmer days. It's really not warm enough for bare legs but dresses/tunics with leggings and flats would probably work well. I guess the key is layering!

for some reason there is a big jump for me between winter and spring stuff. I'm not ready for bare legs or sandaled feet whatsoever, so that limits my options. I will probably be in jeans for a while, but I don't have the most inspiring spring top collection yet. plus the 30 degree difference between 8 am and 3 pm makes it hard too.

However, this week it is officially too hot for boyfriend blazers, denim jackets, and moto jackets. I have a few new dresses, a couple skirts, and a new pair of sandals for spring and summer, but my legs aren't ready for that (at least in my mind.)

heh, I can relate! I'm little bit north of you queenie, so we're only in the low 60s. But what a change from the windy and rainy weather we've been having! We have cold mornings (around 45), so that makes dressing in layers crucial.

What I am wearing today: Cotton half-sleeve dress, cami, cropped leggings. Veronica slouch boots (might change for sandals later). Denim jacket. In the morning, a boiled wool jacket over everything, and leather gloves.

I'm loving the sun!

ETA: It's in the mid-70s now! Love that 30 degree temp difference.

The temp hasn't jumped that much in London, but it is a lot sunnier and there is blue sky, which brought on a mini dressing tantrum this morning when I realised that I didn't want to wear a black or grey coat or trench, but still needed that extra outer layer. Coloured trench here I come!

Yes - we had 64 degress yesterday, and it's 62 degrees today. or us that's seriously above average!

I started out the day in jeans, light sweater, and moto. Ended the afternoon with moto in shopping bag and feeling wilted. But I am SO happy to not be wearing layers for warmth.

Same thing here! I'm so happy to see spring, but it always gives me fits deciding what to wear.
