Hmmm! Well I for one love the pale pinks and blossomy pastels. But can understand how people feel totally "blah" about them. I've heard the colour trends elsewhere described as "mushroomy". I'd have to agree from what I've seen so far.

I'm seeing tonnes of ruffles as well. And super duper short hemlines.

I can't wear orange, especially bright orange...might have to be either passed by or relegated to bags/wrist accessories or something for me (i.e. away from my face!)

Errgh pastels......reminds me of the 80's (whoops showing my age!). On the other hand if it means more earth tones then I'm all in for that. Animal prints are great as long as they're not leopard skin leggings, bright colors I like in theory but I find them hard to work.

Sharon that's pretty much exactly what I spotted up here on Saturday too!!

I quite like the feminine feel, but I'm not a huge pastel fan (I feel like I look sick in paler colours!).

The latest ezibuy catalogue is also fairly full of these softer colours too.

I haven't had a chance to get out to the shops to have a look at what is coming in. Electric orange and electric blue? <sigh> Utility? <double sigh> I sure hope it changes soon, otherwise my entire shopping for Spring/Summer is going to be via the internet!

It looks like spring is going to be a very girly season. We don't have much spring things out here in NZ yet but I'm just back from the mall and what I did see was very pink (pale blossom pink and dusky pink etc), florals and heaps of ruffles. Hope there is more out later as ruffles and pale pink are difficult for me to pull off with any style.

Sharon, your Spring trends sound about right. That's how our season started too.

I know the fashion shows aren't for another 2 weeks in Brisbane, but I went for a wander around the shops yesterday to see what was coming up for us and came away...confused.

Lots of soft pinks and nudes in the teeny stores like Supre and Dotti(was expecting that), but also seeing BRIGHT orange and electric blue (both Veronica Maine and Oroton had big lines in both colours). JacquiE had lots of animal prints and "utility" clothes.

I was kind of hoping for "Madmen" type skirts and dresses, as I've decided this spring/summer is going to be my girly year, but just not seeing any of that. Maybe I have to be patient and wait until the weather gets warmer.
