My daughter has a pair of these in Taupe and I wear them from time to time. They are super comfy. I do own a pair of wedge suede booties and a pair of leather sneakers. I love them both.</p> <p>Janet, I've had high top sneakers forever, before they even became fashionable, so yes, I think you should look for a flat pair. I do have a pair of Ash leather flats and the snakeskin Cons. They do not go out of style, IMO. </p> <p>FYI, Ash opened their first store in the US in NYC ( SoHo). They are quite pricey, and I will probably change my mind at least 10 times till they get here (and once they are here too) about keeping them. I guess I will see how many outfits I can make with them, comfy they are etc.<br /> For me for something to be a reward it has to be something I really wanted but wasn't planning on getting. When I defended my PhD a couple of years ago I got a Mackage coat that I have worn probably at least 200 times in the past 4 years. But that was a coat and these are sneakers... And I do not do such expensive rewards unless it is a really big occasion. And they are not really a part of my budget either.<br /> Anyway, sorry for rambling - I just got home after a 20-h day yesterday in the lab (much shorter one today) and I feel a bit weird, have this strange nervous energy and can't sleep yet, so decided to spend some time here. </p>
