Wow, I am a Beatles lover and a documentary lover, so this looks right up my alley! I put it on my Amazon watch list! http://www.amazon.com/Good-Fre.....#038;ie=UT

And BTW, all you Beatles lovers should definitely check out The Beatles Anthology. Doesn't seem to be available streaming, but if you love the Beatles and love documentaries, it's worth springing for the DVD's: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb.....atles%20an

Just remembering how mad I was about them. Every day I'd come home from school to an empty house and have this blissful experience of putting on a record and being completely somewhere else for an hour or so. I could play their songs in my head as if I were really hearing them too. In fact when recalling Beatles songs, I have perfect pitch, they are so ingrained in me (I just heard I'll Get You in my head, haven't listened to it for years, tested it - yep, it's accurate). Their sound, harmonies, everything about them was transporting. As an adult I now appreciate how much George Martin must have had to do with that and I'm so glad for him too.

In line with Angie's post on Beatle booties today, I want to share a great movie my husband and I just rented called Good Ol' Freda. It's a documentary about the woman from Liverpool who headed the Beatles fan club (she was 17 at the time), and later became their secretary. Even though she was very close to the Beatles and their families, she's never tried to gain any notoriety from her connection with them and has lived her life very simply and anonymously since the Beatles broke up.

It's a great snapshot of the times and sort of an inside look at the Beatles and how they first took off, and Freda is just so lovely and modest. We really loved it.
