I tried them out today (no black or grey, unfortunately) and they are so so comfortable. Had they been a tad wider, I would have bought them.

I only have one pair of lighter denim and they won't work with heels. I wish I just grabbed those gray ones I found another color called "fawn" which is probably better for my skin tone. and will make me less self conscious about wearing them with jeans. But of course they are the rarest and most expensive. Hmph. Maybe Angie and I will swing by DSW this weekend and see if I luck out and the gray is still there...

BTW to anyone who might want to try these in Whiskey (a cognac/caramel sort of color), Dillards has them for $20!

Hm, I'm with Shana about the dark-hair/balance thing. Love the light color of the booties, though, and think they will be awesome in the spring. Do you have lighter color denim or only dark wash?

I love these. I have them in Whiskey and have thought about duplicating them. I think the tan would look great for spring.

Oh yes Maya, I think they will look very fresh for spring but will still work with your urban black pieces. I vote give them a try.

I think these look perfect for spring! I understand what you mean about light-colored footwear - I feel the same. Maybe it's because we have dark hair & it's that whole balancing thing?? This is why I couldn't get myself to buy any of those fab cream boots in Germany (even though I could almost hear Angie whispering in my ear and telling me how great they were).

I don't see a light toe peeking out from jeans as that much different from a color or metallic. Go for it. They will be perfect for spring with bare legs.

I fell in love with the Blowfish Willis booties last week, as some of you might remember. Gray was my color of choice at the time but as it turns out, DSW is the only store I can find that carries the gray! Had I known, I might have made the splurge.

Well anyway, they are probably gone by now so I am considering other colors. Black is my usual default, but I already got the BC Swears in black. I'm thinking of getting the "natural" color and using them as spring booties. Spring is usually my hardest shoe season because I hate giving up my amazing boots for much less comfortable pumps and flats. Spring booties seems like a great idea, especially since our springs don't get THAT warm. I think the natural color would also look much better with bare legs than black would. My question is: Can I still wear them in winter under jeans? I have always been uncomfortable with lighter colored footwear peeking out from under dark jeans. I just feel like it draws the eye DOWN instead of up and puts the focus on my feet. Maybe I'm being silly.

Anyway, here are the booties:
