I put Anna Della Russo (sporting all the trends at once, all the time, and often for show) on the opposite end of the extreme to Alt. I like the way you used the adjective "militant" with the word uniform. That's spot on! I guess I feel protective of Alt. I <b>love</b> that she is the opposite of Della Russo because it encourages style diversity (two very influential top magazine editors with polar opposite styles). I am a big advocate of respecting style diversity as you know, so I hope that makes sense too. I'm not criticizing Russo either!
