I had a look at these and I kind of like the idea of the lace versions. Seems like a good alternative to a body suit when you want a smooth seamless look under your (sleeveless) dress.

I don’t know why, but the idea really kind of turns me off. For me, it’s either layer a sleeved shirt under something or go without the long sleeves.

Maybe because I use something like this for cycling in cooler weather — I remove the sleeves when conditions warm up.

It’s really not “ arm hose”!
But I agree, a “regular” top would usually be more comfortable.
I see these as being a marketing strategy— multiple colors-/ and cheaper to make than a real top, and thin stretchy material that is easy to layer over. Perhaps a marketing flop, too!
I do think there are dresses that won’t tolerate a full- length top.

I have a top made of hosiery material, but it is full-length. I love it for layering under sheath dresses. I don't like the Spanx version because it doesn't cover the torso--I find it uncomfortable in so many ways!

I’m sorry, my first though was about all my dear friends and family members who have had swelling in their arms after mastectomy for breast cancer because of lymph node removal, etc. They often wear compression tubes on arms. I thought these were a way to decoratively cover them since this is so common.

They are like the little half- cami but with long sleeves. So the band is potentially bothersome- I sized to comfort on that.
I have not seen all the options, as likely more online. There was a black- metallic but too small. Several solid colors. I think there is a black lace version.
For just casual wear, a thin LS tee would be more comfy and warmer. But these offer a specific fit thin-ness that might work under dresses where anything else would be too bulky.
OTOH, some of them will be fairly identifiable as what it is rather than a more personal-style garment one might own.

Like the idea. The patterns/colors didn’t work for my wardrobe. The fabric was also a bit see through.

I’d consider if it came in a different fabrication

I didn't know that there was such a thing as arm tights. They sound like a great way to add texture and to extend the seasons by adding longer sleeves.

I had a different brand. Garnet Hill carried them. Haven’t checked lately if they still carry them. The ones I had would get pills fairly easily. Tricky to shave without ripping the fabric. Spanx might be better. Report back please.

Has anyone tried Spanx “arm tights”?
Awhile back I had a sleeveless dressy dress I was just dying to find a slim- fitting lace knit sleeved top to wear under’ cause I really couldn’t wear it as it was( it was a deep discount impulse buy!). Never found the right thing so I gave it away.

A local store had a few of the Arm Tights on deep sale so I bought one in burgundy, as I have one or 2 dresses I can wear with for fall, plus could wear under button- front shirts.
A perfectly fitting actual knit top might
be more comfortable but I didn’t have one and so thought this would be an affordable experiment.
Angie’s post on layering under dresses is right on target for this product if its particularl fit and color/ pattern options work.
