I haven't invested much in casual summer clothing and am feeling it.</p> <p>Tonight though, there was a drop in temperature and I am actually able to wear a maxi skirt and I turned the fans off and changed from a sleeveless to a 3/4 sleeve top!! Other than adding a light topper on the occasional cooler morning (only twice so far) I'm still wearing full summer outfits. What a long hot summer it has been! </p> <p>To be honest, I much prefer dressing for winter, so there's no way I'm planning for next summer yet in any way or form. I really wanted to add a new summer dress this year but didn't find anything that was just right. PPP I guess although I did manage to add a few pairs of summer sandals which were a real hole for me. Ziera sandals (found on sale) have been a great find and best of all they don't need any wearing in.</p> <p>Like some other YLFers I'm still looking for the perfect white tee - I don't have one in my wardrobe at all at the moment. I thought we were getting cooler weather a little while ago, but that only lasted a day or so, and now we are back to, not heatwave, but pretty hot (around 21-34 C or 70-90 F).<br /> I am starting to think of what wardrobe holes will need to be fixed next summer. I have hardly invested in summer clothing apart from from work wear for some years and it is beginning to show, so these aren't style related as such.<br /> 1. Absolute priority - new flat sandals. Mine were bought in Jan 12 and are looking very shabby<br /> 2. Moderately heeled sandals - my cobalt ones that have featured in so many recent WIW's are not very durable.<br /> 3 A lightweight flippy skirt - I actually bought one yesterday on sale - this is to cope with the heat<br /> 4. Shorts in some sort of lightweight non crushy fabric. I don't look good in shorts and got rid of all I had except for one knee length suit ish pair that is too hot for the hottest days.<br /> 5 Another "home dress" - short, lightweight, possibly spagetti string strapped, passing the modesty requirements of my daughterss (!) and not needing ironing<br /> 6 An update of my tee shirts and tanks (none bought since 2012)</p> <p>What about you? </p>
