But that's the interesting thing about henna: It's a very common practice all throughout South Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. I know Hindus apply it during weddings, the seventh month of pregnancy, and after the baby is born. It was still wet at the time. I just scraped it off and it has left behind a lovely roasted pumpkin color, and will continue to darken a bit. </p> <p>Anyway, I have never had it done before (I know, I'm such a bad Indian girl) but it was a lot of fun. Sort of funny to see it outside of the actual cultural context: There were all these old white men getting "manly" versions done on their wrists and arms, hehe. </p> <p>I have my other Anthropologie interview on Wednesday and I think it will actually be my most relevant accessory! (Also filled out applications for J Crew, Banana Republic, and a new Henri Bendel store that is opening in the mall...but that's another post all together). </p>
