Ariel I think that it totally depend on the campus! I know there are online recruitment vids and you can see what was worn "last year" on your campus at rush and jump from there.

I think just like anything, it's good to show YOUR personality. When you wear what you feel good in, the people that will meet you will get that vibe. Don't try to dress for a certain sorority or image. Just be YOU and you will find your sisters!!!

I am an Alpha Phi and you would die at what we wore to rush in 1982 LOL. I came to Oregon from California and I have to say we were ahead of the curve then so they loved us. There was no internet fashion then, you wore what you knew from where you grew up. You read Seventeen magazine to stay abreast of "east coast" trends. And you had very LARGE hair!

Disclaimer: It's been ~10 years since I was involved with sorority recruitment. My university had 4 days of recruitment, but the first two days were casual clothing for the potential new members. The last two days were as HJ described above. HJ gave a great summary of what to wear, as well as what the sisters will be wearing. I second her suggestion of covered shoulders for Philanthropy Day, and perhaps something a little closer to biz casual.

I hope that you enjoy recruitment. Some of my closest friends I met through the sorority, as well as meeting a bunch of cool people whom I never would have met otherwise.

I am a recent college grad and a proud Pi Phi! I am so happy to hear that you will be going through sorority recruitment Wear outfits that make you feel fabulous and that you are comfortable in. Every campus is different, but I can share some tips with you based on my experience.

Orientation Day: potential new members didn't meet with sorority women on this day, but learned about how the process of recruitment worked, and met your recruitment leader. Your outfit inspiration is perfect :)

Open House: this day typically included house tours of every chapter house so wear comfy shoes because you will be doing a lot of walking and going up and down a lot of stairs! The boots included in your link are a great choice.

Philanthropy Day: philanthropic service to others is a big part of Greek life. The sorority women will be dressing to the pin, which translates to business casual. Modest hem lines, and covered shoulders are a must. Add a sweater or blazer to the outfit you linked and you are ready to go!

Preference Day: on this day you will spend more time with the chapter or two you are most interested in. Like philanthropy day, the sorority women will be dressed to the pin.

Bid Day: you receive your bid and are welcomed into your new home! You will throw your bid day shirt on over your casual tank so the tank itself doesn't matter too much. The cute sneakers would be perfect for bid day on my campus since it involved some running on Fraternity Mall ;)
