This is what I'm wondering too Diana and guess will find out when they arrive. My belly is definitely the widest part of me so often to have blouses fit my midsection, they are way too large in the bust and shoulders. I'm hoping by choosing the petite, that won't be the case.

Sona and Makrame (and anyone else): How would you say the fit is in the hip area? Is it truly straight up and down in that the hip is not substantially wider than the waist? I don't mind a loose fit in the waist so long as there is movement in the hip area, but this is a tall order as my hips are probably 1-2 sizes bigger than my upper body. I have been eyeing some of these blouses but have a sneaking suspicion that they are going to be like many american brands where if I size up enough to fit my pear hips I am going to be swimming in it on top.

Update: pressed the buy button and ordered both the Juniper and the Loganberry. Here's hoping!

Yes, I really like juniper too (but I think they are out of it in most sizes). I also kept looking at this blouse.

Thanks Makrame - I forgot you bought the beautiful plum colour. I'm looking at the plum and the juniper (dusty blue) colour. I actually like the fact that they are not fitted and more straight - better to "skim" across my apple belly! I wear a 10 in tops so think I'd go with the medium petite (I'm only 5'1").

Thanks again!

I bought one as well - I think you need to size down or at least go with the lower end of the size range. I bought a small, I am a 34D in the bust and usually size 6-8 in tops. It's pretty straight, not tailored around the waistline at all. The color I got (plum) is a bit muted, and I suspect this is true of most the colors. The quality seems good.

If I remember correctly, you purchased two of the J Jill silk blouses. Are you happy with the quality and fit? Are they true to size? They are such an excellent price point and the international shipping is very reasonable that I'm thinking these are the two blouses that will fill my wardrobe hole. Any info you could provide me with would be great!

Thanks!
