It makes sense to want to add in deeper color. I kinda feel, though, the jean jacket is not relating that much to the dress and boots. I'd maybe do less dressy boots to give the jacket company. It seems your dress is of a light weight fabric and the jacket with the darker color seems to draw the eyes to your upper body. The grey boots don't create enough of a contrast below in comparison. While I don't think it's always necessary to have this factor in your outfits each time, in this case a pair of brown/ black boots might do the trick.
