The short length works beautifully in a regular size as it hits right above the knee on petite me. I hadn't heard of the Somerset dress until yesterday, but looking at the description online, it has a huge fan club! I found mine on the store's rack of "only one left" items, and got a 40% discount. It comes in several very different fabrics, so read the descriptions on line. The (beautiful) prints are mostly a crisp poplin, and the tiers add some volume in this fabric. It is also available in a beautiful soft, drapey linen. I didn't try it on because it is out of my price range, but I checked the seams and so forth, and thought it was well made. I'm 5'6" and the length looked to hit me at the ankle (so not a true maxi).</p> <p>Note that the neckline is deep cut.
