Once I find a brand I like I'm super loyal. I'd never tried Paige before. I'm pretty much a CoH woman, because they just plain work on me. But these Paige's have almost made me a convert and I will definitely be looking at the different versions of the Transcend in future.&nbsp;</p> <p>Re whiskering -- maybe I'm the only person in the world who actually likes it? I agree, it can be badly placed. But when it is well placed, to me it looks like the jeans have belonged to the wearer for a long time and it actually makes them more comfortable, too, because it's as if they've put it where your body naturally bends. CoH jeans usually do this on me, and these new Paige ones did also. But maybe I am fooling myself. And I guess we're all different -- horses for courses, as <b>Angie </b>would say. I can't understand why anyone would make a coat without a 2 way zip if it falls below the hip, and wonder why you wouldn't add side-entry pockets to a coat...but not doubt someone out there hates 2 way zips and side entry pockets, and probably with good reason, too. I'm sure it's the same with whiskering. I was underwhelmed by the options in Point of View, Individualist, etc. The other side of the store, the BP/trendy/younger side, had a lot more NAS stuff. The Charlotte buyers obviously have realized that there's no point in stocking a bunch of sweaters and heavy coats in the Carolinas in mid-July, although they did have a few of both. The summer clearance area was a lot bigger and a lot more interesting to go through. In the end, although I tried on several things, the only thing that came home with me was a Wacoal bra. [The plus NAS items were literally one rack's worth. Sigh.]</p> <p>I tried the Wit &amp; Wisdom animal print jeans and they were too short on me, but I liked the worn patina and think it would be a good look for fall. The Paige skinnies looked like jeggings on me, but nice jeggings. Angie's right that this fabric has a lovely feel. If the coloring had been basic blue without the whiskering on the thighs (seriously, who in the world likes whiskering on the thighs???) I might have bought them. If anyone's looking for a nice woven wrap dress, I recommend this Halogen one - I suspect it would be a really great trans-seasonal piece. </p> <p>ETA: forgot to say that this morning when I saw the Born loafers were back in stock, I ordered them online along with the wrap top and another bra. Then I saw the wrap top fabric in another piece in store and boy, is it thin and see-through. That piece will probably need to be returned.&nbsp;</p>
