1 and 2 work for me! In 3, I find the sweater’s texture too ‘heavy’ for the skirt and jacket. I also find the leather jacket too heavy visually. The polka dot dress feels a little overwhelming to me as well…

Irina - I am having second thoughts about motto for summer dressing - it is rather thick, like fake leather jacket, and not very breathable, I used to wear it more in transnational weather. I will try your idea in the fall.

After thinking more about it, the poor fit of white and yellow blazer are creating a big hole, not just in my skirts and dresses outfits but also in pants outfits. They are essentials for my style. I would probably need to find replacement sooner than later.
cat2 - I need a topper for polka dot dress (it is navy, not black) because my office is frigid. I wear it without the topper when I am not in AC.

I would spring for the new yellow jacket and a new short white or cream jacket and then see where you are. I think the black polka dot dress could be worn without a topper.

Love the first two outfits - longer jackets work well and the fit looks current to me. I would suggest you try dress + motto jacket combo with a substantial shoe like snickers or loafers. It might balance the roomier fit of the motto, this looks promising and I like the colors together. Try to push the sleeves up a bit, too.
Some of the blazers are obviously too big. Instead of paying for alterations (not a simple thing on a lined blazer), maybe you need to purchase a new one in your size to replace your cream blazer.

Katerina - I did try navy blazer over dresses but proportions seemed wrong to my eye. I didn’t even bother to take photo. I did plan number of outfits arround yellow and white blazer, without them my options are getting limited, but you are right- I have maybe 6 weeks left of office summer dressing, because I am taking 4 weeks off, so I will manage. I can always fall back to wearing pants.

The first two outfits are perfect - you look stunning in them. Also the polka dot dress and the tonal lime outfit are really nice. Agree with others that the bright yellow jacket and the white one are unfortunately too big. And Bijou is right, the moto will be good with trousers… You have shown so beautiful outfits lately with the outfit of the month pieces. Have you tried the navy blazer with the white buttons over the dresses? Or is it not summery enough? I understand it’s difficult to manage with a small wardrobe if you are used to a lot of choices. Maybe some comfort is that it is already July and in September you could perhaps wear a bit more autumn styles - of course if the weather allows. I am one of the people who kind of struggles with summer dressing, so I usually comfort myself with that the summer is rather short here anyway

Can you wear any of your recent casual purchases, like the denim skirt or polo dress, to work on Fridays?

Jenni - yes, my size hasn’t changed in the last 18 months or so. I am still trying to assess how many good fitting items I own, since I haven’t worn my office wardrobe in about the same period since my weight stabilized. Unless I go on a big shopping sprees, it will take me at least 2 more years to replace everything that doesn’t fit. So it seems that my wardrobe is on the small size at the moment. I will probably have to repeat outfits more often than I am used to.

I really understand your disappointment Anchie with the items that are too big now like the beautiful bright yellow blazer. I don’t know what to say.
I feel you may just have to manage with less for a bit. It seems like your weight has stabilised now?- but then you did get quite stressed previously with trying to get lots of stuff in your new size.
I would try to relax into it. I have done that, since my wardrobe is reasonably large. Like trying to replace the cobalt boots I kept looking, but not obsessively, just every now and then, until after a few months some turned up.
I don’t think you would ever have nothing to wear to the office?

FI - yes, first in original is same as second in a post with motto. That is the one of the newest and smallest jackets I own. Bright yellow blazer is not part of the yellow suit, even though yellows are the same, fabric is different. I saw blazer that matches my new pants, but decided not to order because I thought I already have a yellow blazer. And I don’t think I would wear it as suit anyway.

So the first one in the original post is the same as the second one in the post with the moto? I like that one in both pictures, think it is the best one here. But the second pic in the original post—the orange blazer—is the best outfit.
The polka dot dress and patterned skirt both look good and seem to fit well. The cream/white moto is big, but I agree with Bijou that an oversized moto is a good look with jeans and similar. Is the bright yellow blazer (not the lime/yellow one) part of the same suit as the pants you’ve posted recently?

Apologies for being a forum hog. It seems that I am not so ready for going back to the office wardrobe wise. I haven’t shop much for office wear over the pandemic and last time I was in office full time in summer was in 2019 when I was a little bigger. So some items that I thought would work in my head, I am not so sure after trying on. I am especially disappointed that my yellow blazer seems too big. It was a fiftieth birthday present just 2 years ago. What do you think, does any of this work?
