Christine, this has been a wonderful week for you! My comments:

1. Really like the coral on you! I would suggest unbuttoning another button or two on the shirt and shortening the necklace.

2. This is a great silhouette on you and the length of the pants is just right. The teal is a good color for you. Personally, I am not a fan of alot of shine like this for day - maybe with a cardigan? Again, would you feel comfortable undoing one more button - I am curious how it would look....

3. Wow, fantastic look on you! I think the shirt looks good tucked in this particular ensemble. That scarf is gorgeous too! How about tucking the ends of the scarf into your shirt the way that bellacville does?

4. Awesome trench - looks absolutely perfect on you!

5. Wow, this has got to be my most favorite look on you ever! The skirt is perfect for you in every way - definitely repeat! And look how fab your legs are - you need to show them off more!

6. Great sheath dress! Can you try the white shirt or maybe even the teal one? Again, I would suggest unbuttoning that top button - it just seems to cut off your neck so much.

7. Nice color combo - I agree that the shirt is a little too short though.

8. Ditto about the shirt length. I agree that this vest would like nice with your white button down. I don't think this necklace works with this sweater.

Christine you have really upped your style quotient!!!

Like others I think the trench looks awesome on you! I really love the sheath dress too. The argyle vest is very cute. You could even wear it over a LS white tshirt if you wanted to be a bit more casual than a button-up shirt.

Shiny - thank you SO MUCH for your compliments! The blue skirt is actually twill, not satin, but I do love the shape & plan on making a couple more (at least). I made both white shirts too (out of sheets that weren't being used at my house). I truly feel like I've started to refine my style. I love classics - the white shirt, trench, etc but with a feminine twist like the skirt, some ruffles, pearls, etc. I'm not a realy girly girl & don't like pink, but in a house full of boys I definitely need some feminine things sometimes.

Oh my, where to start???

1) White shirt - looks AMAZING on you! I do like it tucked. You are a crisp white shirt lady for sure!! I like all the outfits with crisp shirts, which you wear so well, but what I also like about the white shirt in particular, is the contrast with your dark hair.

2) Sheath dress: love this silouhette on you. You are lucky to have a nice sheath dress - you can do so much with it. Can you try the white shirt under the sheath? I am betting that combo would be fantastic - that contrast thing again. Do you have pearls? Creamy pearls would be so flattering with your skin tone and hair color and also create contrast. And some patterned tights?

3) Satin skirt outfit - this is by far my FAVORITE on you yet!! WOW. Everything about this outfit is perfect - fit, hemline, color. You need more skirts in this shape. Did you make this one? And with the cardi over the white shirt and the belt and the perfect ballet flats... LOVE! I am doing cartwheels over here. Look at you.... you look perfectly hourglassy in this outfit! This is an outfit formula you need to "rinse, repeat" in various fabrics, colors and textures and such.

The other thing I love about this outfit, besides the silouhette for you, is the color. You look amazing in these colors. Again, it's the contrast thing with your brown hair.

The only thing I would add is accessories to bump it all up another notch. But you are definetly getting there.

4) Trench: fits great. You are a trench girl alright. (sighing with envy).

Hmm... I bet you'd look amazing in the cream pleather jacket from Ann Taylor that several of us are now sporting.... I'm picturing it over the sheath dress and with that skirt....

The teal shirt with belt is a very flattering silhouette! I prefer it to the tucked-in shirt for your body type. And the outfit that made you feel good all day -- a keeper. Anything that can do that is worth keeping and wearing often, even though you said you thought it was a bit dressy for your workplace.

I agree with Sarbear that you are inspiring! And I am right there with you and others on feeling the pain of understanding that recently-purchased, pre-YLF items are perhaps less fab than we thought. Ah, well.

Thanks everyone!

Antje - I normally wear the sweater over my teal button blouse, but it was casual Friday & I wanted a little more relaxed look. I'll definitely wear it over a white shirt in the future.

Thanks for the compliments on the blue skirt. I sewed it myself. I'm going to make a couple more out of the pattern for spring/summer.

Sarah - whenever I wear a scarf I tend to change how it's tied periodically through the day. Half the day it was longer, tied like Angie in her post about spring scarves. I'm definitely going to do some experimenting with the dress. It was another thrift find that was ankle length that I shortened, and I've only worn it twice so far. I don't do sleeveless, so I definitely have to layer something over or under it. I was thinking my grey cardi over top, too.

And thanks for the compliments on the trench. I was SOOO excited to find it. Dh rolled his eyes at me. lol. I wanted something I could wear instead of my wool coat now that the weather is slowly warming up and this fits the bill perfectly. Its a little heavy for late spring/early summer, but it's just perfect for now & will be great in the fall. Oh, and I love plaid.

Hi, Christine!
I really appreciate your efforts. You are definitely inspiring.
My thoughts:
Photo 1 (Coral sweater): Lovely color on you!
Photo 2: Like!
Photo 3: I'd probably untuck the blouse, personally. I'd also try to tie the scarf longer. That seems more "current" and also seems more flattering overall. Love Photo 4 (Trench): What a great find!
Photo 5: I love this skirt. This is one of my favorite silhoettes for you.
Photo 6: I like the shape of the dress, but I'm wondering if you should try a brighter blouse or something to add some fabulous color?
Photo 7&8: I like the concepts but I think the tops are too short for pants. I would recommend, especially because you're worried about the pant size being too large, to find some longer tops.
I know how you feel...I purchased tons of clothes right before joining YLF and unfortunately most things didn't score very high. It's a process. You've made great progress so far, and everything will fall into place over time. I certainly don't have it all together yet, either, but I'm much more focused than I have ever been. You're doing fabulous!

Nice! I like the outfit with the white shirt tucked into the pants; I wouldn't untuck it. The scarf works great with it and creates a lot of interest (without the scarf the outfit would look too severe.) And your trench is a nice find.

I also love the blue skirt outfit. What a pretty color!

I like your argyle vest in the last outfit, but have you tried layering it over a white shirt? The black on black makes it look like it's a sweater rather than a vest -at least from afar- and layering over a button down would spice up the outfit.

Here are some outfits for me from the last couple of weeks. The necklace I'm wearing with the coral sweater is the same as the one with the dress - the poor pic of the dress means you can't see the necklace very well.

I commented about the outfits right in photobucket (if I had anything to say about it).

Any & all comments & suggestions are welcome.

Oh, and I am really seeing that my pants ARE too big, which makes me sad since I just bought them a couple of months ago and can't really afford to replace them right now. I won't be wearing them as often once spring truly arrives, though.

Thanks!
