It was my first trip to Miami and we used my mom's timeshare at WestGate with is North Miami Beach 2 miles away from South Beach. Fairly quiet, family oriented, and a large Hasidic Jewish community. 9Who knew? I didn't.) You can only imagine the cultural differences between North MIami Beach and South Beach. </p> <p>Anyway, we did a city and water tour, 2 day cruise to the Bahamas, and walked A LOT. Don't get me wrong: the beach, the sunrises from our hotel, the crystal turquoise waters and 70 degree temps were fantastic but I'm a city girl at heart so the beach is great in small doses.
