Oh, what a lovely haircut! And beautiful lip color.
That shirt looks great on you, love the simplicity and elegance of the cut and pattern.
Great review, thank you. I realized after a while that as much as I love the brand and their style, I have to be careful when buying. Some of their clothes gives my a “college girl” vibe and I’m well beyond that. Meaning, I made a few mistakes I still love their cashmere and silk plus some shoes.

Thank you for the reviews. I have been pleased with the jeans that I bought from Everlane. I am looking at making some more purchases from them soon.

kellygirl -- Thank you! The keepers all felt *just right* when I put them on. I'm slowly learning to send back anything that makes me hesitate and I think it's paying off.

smittie -- Thank you! I do think the jeans are a true curvy cut; I didn't bother taking pictures, but even sized up the waist was pretty nipped-in. They are promising for sure. The lippie is from Kosas; it's called "Undone". I alternate between this shade (when I want something a little bold) and their warm pink, "Stardust", as a MLBB shade.

Tanya -- Thanks. I try to be careful not to let my wardrobe turn into an Everlane showroom, but they really do have a lot of pieces that suit my tastes and my lifestyle. They hold up well too.

Rachylou, Jessikams, and slim cat -- Thanks! I'm happy with the hair, it feels so summery. :)

Suntiger -- I noticed Athleta has a lot of pastels right now. Hoping it's a seasonal thing and they'll release more greens/browns for fall. I'm not really in a hurry to add more gear; it's just always on my radar. :D

Nikki -- I'll have to get a WIW pic with the eyelet tank. It's so much fun to wear!

Angie -- Thank you. Yes, I'm all about roomy, breezy shirts when it's hot.

Jonesy -- I love the look of oversized blazers, but they're sooo hard to get right. I'll keep trying, and someday the perfect one will show up.

Would be interested to hear about the 90’s curvy jeans. The garment dimensions imply a 12” waist hip difference but I wonder if that’s truly the case.

Your hair looks great and I think you have such great bone structure that you can have any haircut you want and look fabulous. I like your lipstick colour!

Jean cut offs are perfect! I really like the length and fit shown here.

Great reviews! I love your color palette and share a fondness for Everlane! If I were in need of a spring jacket, that one looks perfect. I love black eyelet for summer (the black tempers the sweetness for me, which I prefer), and that windowpane check button down is fab. I have an old black and white windowpane check shirt from Madewell (maybe 15 years old!) that I still love--seems to go with everything.

I haven't ever had any luck with Everlane jackets (sleeves are always too short for me, or the fit is weirdly large through the torso but the shoulders are too narrow, etc. etc.), so I admire you for trying out that blazer! Good luck with the correct size of those jeans!

The rejects:

Fatigue Blazer. I really thought this would be a winner, but the fit was off in every way. Stance too low, armholes tight, just sort of meh. I think a taller person could probably size up and get the relaxed fit they show on the models, but it didn't work on 5'4" me. At least the matching pants are great!

Perform Legging and Bra. I am very picky about gear, as many of you know. These are a decent price and I like the subdued colour options, but the fabric is underwhelming (not very soft, not very stretchy) and there was nothing transcendent about the cut. I'm always on the lookout for non-racerback pull-on sports bras, but I would need adjustable straps for this one to work for me. The whole cut was too long for my small/short ribcage. The range of colours (earthy, not jewel-tone or neon) is the most appealing aspect. In the end, I'd rather shop Athleta's sale section than pay full price for these.

The maybe:

90s Curvy Cheeky Straight. I was pretty excited when I saw Everlane release a curvy cut of the 90s cheeky, because the original version is one of the few pairs of Everlane jeans I've tried that has a big waist gap on me. The size chart indicated I should go with my usual size, but the pair I received was huge. I tried a size down and those were way tiny, so I'm guessing at least one of the two pairs was the victim of a labeling error. CS agreed with me and said I should try my usual size again, so I may cross my fingers and reorder, because I can always use more faded black jeans. Sort of annoying though!

I haven't been good about taking photos this spring, but I've been riding the Everlane returny-go-round and thought I'd report back. Just one WIW for now, but maybe I'll update with more pics later. First, the winners:

Fatigue Barrel Pants. These were a pleasant surprise. I ordered them along with the matching blazer, thinking I might keep them if the blazer was a slam dunk, but not expecting much. Well, they fit great and the linen-blend strikes a nice balance between breezy and sturdy. I like the funky pockets and the utility vibe.

ReNew Anorak. This one ticks so many boxes for me. Lightweight, easy to layer, more breathable than Gore-Tex, nice cottony finish. Colour is simply gorgeous, right in between pale blue and grey. I spent a lot of time looking at other long spring jackets, but ultimately circled back to this one, and I'm glad I did.

Eyelet Tank. This is another one I didn't really expect to work. I ordered the brown version first, in my usual size, but it was both too big and too boho for me. So I reordered one size down in black, and it's perfect. The black gives it a 90s vibe to my eye, makes me think of Courtney Love. It is a real crop tank, great with high rises, but you do have to be okay with revealing a little bit of skin. I've been wearing it with midi skirts and high-rise shorts, and I think it will make a good transitional piece too with jeans and a cardi.

Double-Gauze Shirt. I have been looking for a not-too-preppy windowpane shirt for a couple years, and knew I wanted it to be black/white, not blue/white (I have more than enough blue shirts!). The addition of the amber colour in the check makes this one perfect for me. Fabric is soft and breezy, great for summer. I really like the cut of this shirt, perfect balance of ease and structure in all the right places, good tucked or untucked. I wore it yesterday with my oldest cut-off Levi's. Close-up for a better look at the pattern, and to show off the new layers in my hair. The lob was feeling a bit severe and heavy; I wanted to try adding more texture and movement and remove some of the bulk around my jawline. I think it worked out!

I’ll add Rejects and Maybe's in a minute…
