My feet are low volume, low arch and while I am generally more comfortable in a medium width shoe than a narrow, I put insoles in all footwear. These were no exception. I was standing and twisting around to take the photo down at my feet, so the angles in the photos on my post don't quite tell the full story. Here's a photo looking down at my foot right now, while seated at the dining table. I think my foot has settled down into the shoe a bit more as I've worn them around the house this morning. I think they'd work even better in a narrow width, if they offered that, but this seems to be a workable fit for me. Your wide-footed client must have sized up, because my feet are definitely not wide! I've had a hard time with a lot of my sandals since they seem to stretch over time, especially if they have ever gotten a little wet. These Sofft shoes arrived yesterday, and straight out of the box, I’m encouraged. </p> <p>I chose the cement color, and I like it as a cool neutral alternative to black. I like the lower contrast with my skin for warm weather with shorts and skirts too. It has a slight warm tint to it, almost a greige color, so not a super cool grey, which works for me. </p> <p>The fit is TTs and seems excellent on my slightly narrow, slightly low-volume feet. I have to be really careful of this because I’ve made the mistake before of buying mules that stretch out and fly off my feet when I walk. Most mules just don’t work for me. I have one ancient pair of Cole Haans that I keep by the back porch door to slip on to take out the trash or let the dogs out, and this is the first pair since those that feel pleasantly snug and secure. I do not think that these would work for someone with wider feet. </p> <p>I’ll be wearing them around the house to test out the comfort before committing, but I think they’re keepers. </p>
