So I started looking more for shooties than for flats. I just don't think there's any way around the frump factor with socks and&nbsp;flats, unless you have a very high-vamped loafer. The other workarounds (no-show socks, nude nylons) still don't keep the foot very warm in the cold temps. (For what it's worth, I asked an SA at Macy's this very question: What kind of shoes would I have to buy so as not to look silly if I'm wearing socks?
