I remember years ago I had lived in Boston and then returned to the Midwest. In Boston, everyone was wearing over-the-knee socks with mid-thigh skirts. The skirts weren't super-short, and I was very young at the time, so it wasn't inappropriate or even particularly Lolita-ish. But when I wore that around here? People literally stopped, turned around and stared at me.&nbsp;</p> <p>Looking nice and giving a nod to trends is definitely up my alley, but going full-on trendy in this area? I'm not comfortable with the kind of attention that can cause, and with kids in school, I don't want people laughing about their mum behind their backs.</p> <p>All that said, though, I rather like the looks in the video, and I've seen bloggers do this really well.
