Finding a non-slip, right length sock is indeed a challenge! Just FYI, jabbers: I have found that Nordie's black housebrand athletic shorties stay put, and Smartwool makes several varieties of footies and no-shows that are perfect for our damp winters. And while you're breaking those gorgeous new booties in, remember Angie's advice about anti-friction gel: I can't get the product she recommends locally, but Walgreens carries a good one, Gold Bond Friction Ease (which our local store shelves with the, ahem, personal lubricants!)

My apologies if this is a hijack, CJ!

I just got those too and on me they're quite low for a bootie, showing the ankle bone on the sides. If I were wearing them with skirts or cropped pants, I think I'd wear them with no show socks - I've got some that I wear with my sneakers, so they fall higher on the top of the foot than the ones one wears with ballet flats or loafers, which always seem to move around and slip off.

For long pairs of jeans I wear charcoal because the interior side kind of looks grey to me. I think it works alright. For cropped pants I wear anklets. If I am wearing slacks, I might match some sheer hose to either the shoe or the slacks, depending. It's often more a factor when I sit than when I stand!

In fact I really dislike when pant legs creep up when I sit down!

Any socks that are comfy with long pants - nobody will see them anyway. For bottoms where the ankles show, I wear either footies or anklets depending on how high the shaft is. I often have extra room in my booties due to low volume feet so I can actually wear thicker no-show socks (like the athletic kind that's meant to go in sneakers), which are comfy and warmer. (Eta: not white ones though!)

You can wear them with tights when you wear a skirt or a dress.

That depends on the hem of the jeans. BF jeans need nude knee highs or no-show socks. Other full length jeans - I'd stick to black socks.

Great question! I got the same bootie and am wondering the same thing. Ideally, I think they look best with a no show sock as the ankle showing adds structure. But what to wear when it gets colder?

I ordered the Franco Sarto Granite Bootie in wine and am waiting for them to arrive. I usually wear knee-high boots with jeans in the Fall/Winter months. So I'm wondering what kind of socks others wear with booties. I see myself wearing these booties with jeans, skirts, dresses. Some of my jeans are skinny jeans and come right to the ankle; others will cover the bootie.

First pair of booties. Going out on a limb.
