I am pretty sure you can do it. The key is a tonal match. Not necessarily a colour match. I wore my burgundy booties with navy pants but they were both the same colour value, so there was a clean line. It allowed me to feel "updated' but not FROZEN. Remember last year when they were showing shorter booties with a sliver of skin? I was saying, okay, September, early October, but no way after Thanksgiving, so how am I supposed to look current??? And these higher shaft booties were the answer. Could still wear the ankle length pant (or even a bit shorter) without freezing to death.

The ones I'm replacing (which were old and fell apart pre-YLF) pretty much worked with anything because of the close fit. I could actually wear skinnies over the shaft too.

Angie, I was thinking of regular skinnies, maybe rolled, or yes, cropped skinnies. Something that is quite tight in the ankle.

I have BR ankle pants, Suz, so your experience is really encouraging.

I wore a pair of boots with a shaft like this with skinnies and the Sloan BR (skinny) ankle pants last year. I just pulled the skinny over it and rolled under so that the shaft height looked good to my eye with the pant. It worked like a charm, because no gap between pant and boot, so I could wear them even in true winter. I wore the same boots with kick crops, too, but if anything I liked them better with the slim pants due to the weather issue -- no cold winds snuck in with the skinnies.

...well, the cuff of the skinny would come up to near mid calf to be able to rest on top, and I wasn't sure about that. I've only seen these types of boots with tights or wider leg pants like kick crops.

The "sock" design would work well I think, if there's little contrast with your jeans, could make your legs very long.
OTOH, I'm not feeling the square toes with skinnies - but I've never tried the look.

I am hoping to find a pair of lighter color sock booties. I don't see why they wouldn't work with skinnies. The narrow fit should make them quite versatile.

I don't have any experience with these sock booties, smittie, but they seem like they could be great with cuffed skinnies. Are your skinnies cuffable?

Hi there -
I'm considering a pair of high shaft booties (Una's sock boots), but I was wondering whether this style suitable to skinnies.
If not, I might wait until next year when I'm more invested in kick crops/culottes.
