And yes, I am a recent convert to prints.  I have avoided them for a very, very long time. Recently, however, I have come to appreciate that they are very concealing. And I have also made peace with prints perhaps becoming dated more quickly than solids. It is a trade off I am willing to make! I admit I think this is the first time I've worn this dress and posted it on the forum though it's nearly 3 years old. It is a great dress and I should wear it more often. Maybe I didn't wear it because I felt like there wasn't much I could add to this dress (except good underpinnings and accessories). Maybe I felt like I should work a little harder on outfits I post. Clearly that's my own rule that I made up and it's not true. MsKatieKat- yeah this dress is textbook perfect for an apple figure. I realize my appl-y goodness is highlighted even more now that belly and breasts have merged. Sveta - have no fear. Considering my wardrobe is pretty limited right now I think I'll be wearing this dress a lot over the next several months -- especially since it has a good amount of stretch. Dashielle - thanks for posting the pics! I see what you mean about the medallions but indeed it is a lovely blouse. Deborah - I think this dress would work just fine for you. I am not the tallest person in the word. (contrary to popular belief) Angie at 5'6" is taller than me. I just look tall in photos (yes I'm a tall girl impostor). I enjoy print, but try to keep it smaller since it can easily overwhelm a petite frame. That said, I did buy one of the scroll print blouses at WHBM....the crossover with longer sleeves, and I love it. I guess I did not realize until I put this dress on yesterday how incredibly useful a huge all over print could be. It seems to be an accessory in and of itself on par with color. I bought this dress in anticipation of a cruise 2.5 years ago. I picked it up from White House Black Market (WHBM). I have always loved the scroll print perhaps now I know why. The print is excellent camouflage for my belly. I did not want my condition to become the topic of conversation in this meeting and no one was the wiser until the end when my friend and colleague inquired about how I was coming along. I really liked the bright orange bag paired with this. I'd contemplated switching to another bag but I thought the orange was a nice counter point to the blue stripes. What about you? Anyone else out there formerly anti-print (who have since seen the light -- cue the angels singing ;-))?
