Most but not all chose not to attend. Last month we had a party to celebrate son-in-law's finishing his doctorate. It ended up being a lovely time with people who really cared, and tons of leftovers. (People who said they'd be there but weren't.)&nbsp;The scariest part was that the first guest didn't come till an hour and a half after the stated time! This is par for the course in some Latin American countries where I had lived, but surprised us for Los Angeles! Anyway, it was lovely in the end. So glad yours was.
