I've worn tall socks that close the gap with shorter trousers, but I've also worn shorter or rumpled socks that show a bit of skin. Don't mind the look at all. It actually adds a twist to some of my more conventional outfits.</p> <p>Shiny, I've always liked Clark's, especially because they generally use real leather. Although they have a reputation as being a comfort shoe and a bit frumpy, they do dip their toe into trends from time to time, so I always check them out. </p> <p>My feet have been acting up, due in part to more walking in the Big City. I've completely given up on heels (special events only) and comfort is of paramount importance. Unfortunately, they were not for me -- great arch support but too narrow.</p> <p>I tried on a pile of shoes and liked many of them but fit was all over the map! I ranged from a 5-1/2 to a 6-1/2 depending on the style, and many were too narrow or the arch just hit wrong for me.</p> <p>However I did luck out and brought home these booties (pic 1) and oxfords (pic 2) .... both super comfy! What do you think?&nbsp;</p> <p>Meanwhile I left these cloud steppers behind -- pic 3. But now I am wondering if I should buy them, as I see them on zappo's for cheaper, but more importantly, they were SO COMFORTABLE. I just wasn't sure about the fashion quotient?
