I really like them - a lot. I can see why trouser style (more dress slacks) may be a challenge though. I'd wear them with thicker saddle colored khakis or plaid pants in boot or slim cut. In fact, I'd sear them with nearly everything in my closet. If they were in my budget. I have tried on Frye's and Ariat they didn't feel right, sadly. I have something I can wear for the conference, just wanting to update. </p> <p>For some reason they don't look good with my trouser leg slacks. They look frumpy unless with a boot cut that goes in a little at the knee. They actually only look good with TWO pair of boot cut jeans in my closet. I was going for the look Angie did with her black suit and fawn boots. But they don't look good with my black suit or any of my other slacks, or skirts.
