I love them.&nbsp; </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/so-i-broke-the-ny-shopping-fast#post-1767459 Tue, 10 Jan 2017 19:38:01 +0000 Emily K 1767459@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I was one of the people who declared interest in beginning a shopping moratorium to start in January. &nbsp;Man, there was a lot of stuff that I DIDN'T buy, already. &nbsp;I don't count things that I just want, or for which I have a passing fancy--If I had to talk myself out of actually buying something that I feel is justified, then it can go on the list. &nbsp;So, I've been doing pretty well. &nbsp;In addition to clothing purchases not made, I've been giving myself a pat on the back for every instance of frugality, such as when I use a "normal" amount of toothpaste instead of loading up the entire brush, or when I (mindfully) eat left-overs instead of making something new. &nbsp;But then I got an email that some shoes were in stock. &nbsp;These shoes have been on my Pinterest list for a long time as a "want". &nbsp;They are not expensive, and I have been on the waiting list TWO TIMES for these shoes as, the first time, I did not act quickly enough and they sold out in my size. &nbsp;So, I bought the shoes and I don't even feel bad about it. &nbsp;I think I get a pass on the shoe purchase &nbsp;Now I'll just gather myself together and keep behaving frugally.</p>
