This happens to me a lot too, with the holes being in exactly the same place. I've never figured out if it was the pants zipper, my lab bench, gnomes, or something else! I've just learned to treat tees as having limited lives, and then use them as layering or tucking pieces once they develop holes.

As an aside, my fiance was complaining that since men don't wear ties as often to work anymore, many office desks are no longer designed to be super smooth on the edges so he keeps snagging his ties on the edge of his desk.

I think it's the zipper... I don't know if the shop would take it back. Luckily it wasn't pricy. I'll just put it away and maybe I can re-use it in some way at a later stage.

Where does your kitchen counter hit you? And is it stone? This was happening to DH's and DD's t-shirts, but not so much to mine. I almost always wear an apron in the kitchen, but they don't.

I do get this problem a lot on t's, on the shoulder, at the side seam etc and so does my daughter. It is one of our reasonable brands too and the tshirts are not that cheap. I have no idea why mine happens... sounds like yours might be the pants, but you wore capri's first? mmmm... I end up having to think of t's as relatively disposable but certainly more than 2 wears can you try taking it back to the store?

You know, I had this happen -- years ago -- with one particular pair of pants. I noticed that a few of my tops had developed little holes near where the pants zip was. I never did figure out what was special about the zip on that particular pair of pants, but I was quite sure that somehow it was catching on my tops and perforating them. I solved the problem by getting rid of the pants. Sorry, probably not the answer you wanted to hear.

I bought a very cute 3/4 sleeved purple top a few weeks ago. It is a long, tunic style top in a t shirt type fabric.

I have only worn it twice, once with capri length leggings and black pumps and then today, with skinny jeans and my red sneakers.

This afternoon, sitting at a barbeque, I discovered a whole bunch of little holes, around the area where the zip of my jeans is. I can only think that the zip caused the holes? So irritating after only two outings!

I have noticed this on lots of my t'shirts, but this is the first time on a relatively new item... does this happen to everyone?
