I actually ended up using fabric paint instead of bleach but i am very aware what bleach can do to clothes as i totally destroyed a pair of shorts this summer (they were thrifted though so no big) after i left them in too long and then washed them. XD I ended up using a xacto knife for the knees and it worked great!</p> <p>Heather - I have thought about it but i'm just not sure. I'd have to go out and try to find cheap pieces to alter in a varity of sizes and sizes run all over the place, espeicially with pants. It makes me nervous. Knit scarves are so much easier lol. </p> <p>Una - i certainly can if you want me to! I did not think it was cool to have anything that looked like it was new or like it could be bought in any store. I did a lot of intentional bleach splatter jeans projects. Did you launder them after the bleach? If you leave the bleach on for too long, it can eat away at the fabric. </p> <p>To distress jeans I would take a rock inside the jeans and rub it on pavement. I used different shaped rocks for different kinds of holes/distressing. I used small pointy rocks for actual holes and flat rocks or broken bricks for overall distressing at the thighs and tush.That would give the best, most natural looking distressing result.
