Building up the muscle around the area is the best way to deal with it, they say - specific back exercises and yoga practice for your back and core. Do NOT get surgery unless there is no other option! Went to doctor and found out it looks like I have a bulging disc. The X-rays showed compression between two of my lumbar vertebrae. This really freaked me out so to cheer myself up, I went &amp; bought cool flat shoes. </p>
