They are a tiny bit wide at the ankle (i.e. they are loose there vs. tight like a sock boot) but it does not look flower pot because of the shape of the opening -- it is narrow. They skew between casual and dressy to me -- the pointed toe makes them dressier and the shorter block heel casual. The height makes them wearable with pants and dresses. I especially like them with a tiny bit of skin showing but they work okay with longer pants too. That's the perfect combo for me personally but if you are going for an extremely dressy look, these would not be the boots.&nbsp;</p> <p>Blondo and Nordstroms BOTH have to get their acts together!! I tried Blondo Canada and no go for those. So...</p> <p>I wouldn't have done it except I already knew for a fact how well this style works for me because I own two pairs from last year. It's just the perfect last and heel for my particular foot and also waterproof so it seemed like a no-brainer, even though more expensive with the CAD to USD exchange rate. But I didn't have to pay additional duties.&nbsp; </p> <p>I guess I'll be "splitting wears" now between 3 pair but that's okay. I wore one or the other of my Blondos almost every day for 6 months last year. Not necessarily for the whole day -- I might change outfits.
