Thanks, Angie, I read some more reviews and think I may size up 2 sizes. And yes, Lisa I'm in the States but maybe I'll have to join my husband on a business trip to Canada!

I have two Smythe jackets. Size up one to two sizes. I wear a 0 or 00, and my Smythes are size 2.

I have wanted a Veronica Beard with the hoody dickie forever! I have it pinned on every single board, saved to every file - it's crazy. They are super expensive in Canada though - maybe one day You can order Smythe from Canada (their own website or Holt Renfrew) and pay less than you would in the US - at least I'm assuming you are in the States?

I have a Veronica Beard jacket and the 6 fit perfectly-- so I was looking for some more "smart" jackets to throw on with jeans, and Kate's navy Smythe jacket popped up on Pinterest. Then I remembered I've always liked Angie's equestrian jackets so Smythe is on my radar.
I also like the Ted Baker scuba jacket, good price point and flattering, though I do have my eye on another Veronica Beard jacket, navy with gray sweatshirt dickey.
I agree with everyone btw about J Crew. When they made the schoolboy blazers (and I have a few) they were consistent fit well and have lasted. The newer cut isn't as flattering for me and I range from an XS to a M in their current sizing!
But maybe I should just wait for the NAS and see if I could find a Smythe jacket then?
Thanks everyone!

I have 4 Smythe jackets - and the fit is utterly consistent . At least one size up from my usual , and even 2 sizes up from the odd other brand . Mine are 8's. I am larger in the bust , average in the shoulder and upper arm. In my opinion , they are the best fitted jacket I've ever owned - and I can button them up (not that I ever would ) and move with ease without having to do a single alteration. My Club Monaco jackets are 4's 'and J Crew is such a joke I don't even bother there anymore - fit is so inconsistent . Which one are you interested in ? I missed out on the one I really wanted for spring - sold out - but have my eye on a drapey faux silk boyfriend cut .

I take my regular size in Smythe. They are a small fit for most women. I have small shoulders. I do have longish arms but I don't find that a problem with Smythe.

I wear a 4 in most jackets -- but have to go up a size for Smythe (and Theory), in my case mostly due to shoulder width. I do not have the busty issue at all.

I take a 4 in JCrew jackets but get a 6 in Smythe, however if you look at my recent post, sizing is now inconsistent at JCrew so who knows the meaning of what I just said?? I take the larger size for sleeve length, not chest size. I have a local tailor who can take in a suit if it's too large so I aim for proper sleeve length if there isn't a seam allowance for lengthening.

Smythe jacket sizing-- does anyone have any feedback on how they run? I'm busty, I wear a 4 in the J crew schoolboy blazer.
Thanks!
